High Park seems like a typical side platform subway station. It is in fact a bit more unusual, just west of the station the line leaves its tunnel for less than two blocks (daylight is clearly seen at this end of the station). The station has two exits one at either end of the station. There is an exit to High Park Av and Quebec Av (the main one with bus connections) at the eastern end of the station, a staircase and escalator from each platform lead UP to it. The exit at the other, western, end of the station to Parkview Gardens, is from staircases that lead DOWN from the station (because the train is about to go out on a brief viaduct over a small valley). The station wall text and molding line is basically black, with off-white tiling. |
