| Toronto's Union Station(GO Transit Rail Line A,B,C,D,E,F,G, VIA Rail Canada's Canadian, Maple Leaf and Corridor Services) is the main station for downtown Toronto. The station is unusually for one in the center of the city, a through station, although there are train yards nearby the station's many platforms. There are distinct tracks that are used by GO transit's commuter trains, and these are accessed from a modern concourse beneath those tracks, and for VIA Rail Canada's long-distance trains that use a boarding Gates system, allowing only ticketed passengers onto the platform. These gates are accessed mainly from the grand central concourse that has been nicely restored and includes touches such as the flags of all the Canadian provinces. There are direct underground connections to Union on Toronto's Subway system and Toronto's PATH system, it's underground city of walkways connecting various buildings . The GO transit bus terminal is also nearby. |
