| University Station is the LRTs newest underground station and was the first to open south of the North Saskatchewan River. The station is quite deep because of the fact that it's located on top of the valley that the river cuts through. The bridge that the rail line passes over is extremely low. The station platform is the standard island and has simple white walls with various decorative squares along them. The walls look and feel like their cinderblock. Throughout the station and on the two intermediate underground levels leading up to the station's exit there's a trim-line of gold with a narrower turquoise line beneath it. The University's seal is also painted on the station walls in a mural-like way. The station platforms have pairs of escalators (and an elevator) towards their either end, and these lead up to an intermediate concourse level, where the TVMs are and the two banks of connected, these lead up to higher concourses (via escalators and stairs), to a main station building at street level and some secondary stairs only at street level exits. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
