Central is a simple underground Edmonton LRT station, even though it's name courtesy of it's location in the center of Downtonw. It has the standard single island platform that have bare concrete walls with a pinkish stripe beneath them. The exits are each extreme end of the platform and have a combined narrow staircase/always up escalator combination, both lead to the Pedway system, with some station entrances (as well as to the Pedway system) signed together.
There is quite a lot of artwork panels, most depicting transit history, around the walls of both mezzanine areas. |
